Damn bro. Our immune system is so complex it invented rockets before we did.
The immune system is really interesting and a really good game can be made out of it, and honestly, I am really happy someone tried to make a game with it as the main idea.
Some things you can change:
- Make a tutorial level. Poor player is put inside the level from the beginning with the dev thinking he read the rules before going (I think only 10% percent of players actually do that).
What you can do is slowly introduce the player to all the things inside the game. (Take Kingdom Rush as example).
- Art is really boring. I dont want to say it is bad, but I know for sure you can make it better. Both audio and visual. I am too lazy to give you ways to make it better. One way is to add particles. The music doesn't really work with the game, look at Kurzgesagt and what music they use for their immune system videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7N7UpVZSoyM.
The music in this game is giving only one feeling and that is of calm. Which I guess it works somewhat. But in videogames the feeling of calm is rarely used, and it isn't used when you are being attacked by tons of bacteria.
Also try to choose a color palette and use that palette for the whole game. (examples would be Enter the Gungeon, Hollow Knight).
Hope you enjoyed my review, game gud but it can be made even better.
Also why is there a Quit button in a web game. ( saw the itch.io link nvm ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
